A Historic Broadcast

Today I was fortunate to be able to participate in what was called a "Historic Broadcast". Today was my stake conference, as well as the stake conference of 76 other stakes in Southern and Eastern Utah. Stakes from as far North as Nephi and as far East as Vernal and Moab. The broadcast was televised live from Salt Lake and President Hinckely was presiding. After hearing from Daniel K. Judd (1st Counselor in the Sunday School), Silvia Allred (1st Counselor in the Relief Society), and W. Craig Zwick (of the 70). We heard an amazing talk from Jeffery R. Holland and then were blessed to hear from President Hinckely. Wanting to remember the historic event, my husband and I tried to take notes. However, due to the magical world of the internet, I was able to find a copy of the exact talk that President Hinckely gave. If anyone is interested in the full talk, click here. My sister has a blog and a few months ago started what she calls "Favorite Things Friday". She tries each Friday to write a Blog about a favorite something of hers. I look forward to reading it each Friday and have thought lately about starting something similar myself (hopefully soon, but perhaps not until next year). My first entry would have to be my wonderful Husband and the amazing marriage that we have. We have been married for seven magnificent years. We've been through several challenges together, (this year especially) but each of them has brought us even closer than the day we married. This talk today was a great reminder of how blessed we both are to have been led to one another and how unique our relationship is. It was also a gentle reminder to never take things for granted and to always work on improving.
For those of you who weren't able to attend this broadcast, I wanted to share the talk so that it perhaps can do the same thing with you. Remind you of the gift you have and encourage you to never take it for granted.

Note: After looking closer, the talk is very close, but not quite identical to the talk he gave today. It has a few additions which I think only enhance the talk.
